IDG's Computerworld Names Beeline a 2012 Best of BI Editor's Choice Awards Honoree
Award recognizes Beeline's SmartRate contingent workforce market rate analysis tool built on TIBCO Spotfire's visual analytics platform
Jacksonville, FL., – September 10, 2012 – Beeline, a market leader in contingent workforce solutions, has been named by Computerworld as a Best of BI Editor's Choice Awards honoree. This awards program recognizes successful BI initiatives that drive business value. Beeline is being honored for SmartRate, Beeline's proprietary method for providing accurate, intelligent, and effective contingent workforce market rate information. SmartRate, built on TIBCO Spotfire's visual analytics platform, helps organizations effectively and quickly analyze the skills and descriptions of more than two million job titles.
"Beeline has always been committed to leading our industry in analytics as we believe this is the most important benefit of vendor management software," said Doug Leeby, Beeline President. "Our partnership with Spotfire is just another perfect example of our focus and commitment to delivering the best visualizations and analytics to the industry."
Beeline integrated and linked multiple data types such as job title, skills, pay rate and location. Using TIBCO Spotfire's visual analytics capabilities, Beeline was able to scrub the data to remove outliers and inaccurate information to ensure the integrity of the data. Beeline uses SmartRate to combine an intelligent search with statistical and visual analysis to allow users to select the jobs that match the competencies they define. Beeline is now able to use SmartRate internally and also as a presentation tool with clients, filtering the data on the fly to help customers optimize their contingent workforce programs.
"The organizations honored in this year's Best of BI Editor's Choice awards program have learned how to get the valuable insights they need from their data using business intelligence and analytics tools," said Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld. "The projects spotlighted run the gamut from a charitable organization using BI to boost donations to a trucking company using analytics to enhance driver productivity without sacrificing safety. Each of the organizations is making better business decisions and, in some cases, generating new revenue streams and tapping into new markets. They're taking BI to the next level."
Honorees will be included in coverage in Computerworld and will also have the opportunity to showcase their initiatives at Computerworld's 2012 BI & Analytics Perspectives conference September 9-11, 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona. Martin Matula, Beeline Technical Product Manager, will be presenting the SmartRate solution during the conference.

About the Best of BI Editor's Choice Awards
The Computerworld Best of BI Editor's Choice awards program was launched in 2012 by IDG's Computerworld editorial team to recognize successful business intelligence projects at organizations across the country. Organizations were asked to complete questionnaires detailing their BI projects, which were then reviewed by the Computerworld editorial team. From those questionnaires, 10 honorees were selected for their ability to make better business decisions using BI and predictive analytics tools. The honorees will be recognized in the August 27th issue of Computerworld on Computerworld.com and at Computerworld's 2012 BI & Analytics Perspectives conference September 9-11, 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona.
