Jacksonville, FL (March 04, 2008) –Beeline, the workforce solutions business unit of MPS Group, Inc. (NYSE:MPS), today announced that it will participate in a panel discussion entitled "The Future of VMS in a Post Chimes World" at the Staffing Industry Executive Forum March 5 7, 2008, at the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort. The panel discussion will take place Friday, March 7, at 11:30 a.m. PST.
The panel discussion will explore the short-term impacts of the Chimes bankruptcy on staffing firms and clients as well as the long-term outlook for the development of vendor management solutions (VMS). Through bankruptcy proceedings in the United States District Court in Los Angeles in January 2008, MPS Group was the successful bidder for the assets of Chimes, including software platforms and related intellectual property.
"Over the past few weeks, we have worked hard to understand the strategic and operational impact of the Chimes situation on key customers and the staffing industry in general," stated Richard White, president of Beeline. "As a result, Beeline has been able to offer former Chimes customers a continuity plan, and we are very pleased that many of these customers have chosen to take advantage of this opportunity and work with Beeline. Our participation in this panel gives us the opportunity to provide some perspective based on that learning, clarify our position on critical questions, and provide our point of view about the future of VMS."
The Staffing Industry Executive Forum is the most prominent annual meeting for CEOs, owners, and senior level executives from all sectors and segments of the staffing industry. More information about the Staffing Industry Analysts Executive Forum can be found by visiting www.staffingindustry.com.
