We Are Family

There is an old adage that says, “If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.”  At Beeline, we love what we do.  And Beeline loves us right back.

So, what makes Beeline a great place to work?  It’s the unmistakable familial vibe that employees feel as they accomplish their goals.  Dante, our guest blogger, explains how Beeline’s corporate culture gives him a sense of pride, both personally and professionally.  Let’s just say, love is in the air. My last experience with corporate culture (outside of reading Dilbert) was over 17 years ago. Since that time, I’ve been a one-man operation, an employer, or a consultant. Which was fine by me; I’m a bit of an introvert. So when I came to work for Beeline, I was not prepared for the tremendous amount of positive peer pressure I would experience from my co-workers. Really…they’re just relentless. Shortly after arriving, I realized that I would be encouraged to endlessly:

Take care of my health

What’s with all the exercising around here? Well, I’m no rocket scientist, but apparently, it relates to good health.  And good health relates to good everything-else.  Don’t get me wrong, I’ve worked with folks who take care of their health needs before; I’ve just never been in a place where so many people are happy to share and support each other when it comes to health and fitness. Give back to the community

Before I came to Beeline, I had never even HEARD of Win4Youth. Now I have the app on my phone. This isn’t just a “give back to the community” initiative for Beeline; I figured that out right away. There’s an emotional commitment, and a pride that folks take in their participation. No one is getting paid to participate, yet everyone gets excited for each event.

Assume the best intentions of my co-workers

This is one of our nine business principles, and perhaps the one I understood the most right away. Before coming to Beeline, I didn’t witness this concept in action very much, despite its simplicity.  At Beeline, the proof is evident in the everyday practice of its people.  Occasionally, we may need to be reminded to assume positive intent, but if you look at most of our daily interactions, there it is — right where it should be.

Work hard, and play hard

This one is self-evident, but like the previous point, it bears some explanation. It is easy to focus on how companies work together to achieve a common goal, but at the end of the day, it’s the PEOPLE who make this happen.  A project can live or die based on the strength of the team working on it.  At Beeline, putting in that extra effort when it’s needed (and covering each other’s backs if things get rough) is the norm.  Because we work so hard, we also try very hard to plan our work and balance that with our lives at home.  When the unexpected happens, or we face personal challenges, everyone pitches in to get the job done — and this is as much out of loyalty to one another as it is to our clients. Working hard & playing hard in the office and on the soccer field. Go team Beeline! I could go on about the surprises I have met here, but in all honesty, I was most caught off-guard by the familial vibe that runs throughout the entire company. Beeline is very much a family. And that sense of family extends to our clients, too. Families may not always get along, but they take care of their own and inspire their members to be the best they can be.  At Beeline, I am not content with just the idea of improving my professional abilities; I have been inspired to step up my game on an interpersonal level, as well. That is the Beeline way…and I am happy to be a part of the Beeline family. Want to know more about Beeline? Watch one of our newest videos, Life at Beeline.
