The Contingent Workforce Strategies (CWS) Summit in London is an event created by Staffing Industry Analysts for corporate buyers and contingent workforce managers.
This annual conference focuses on optimising the management of flexible workforce programmes through a variety of in-depth sessions. The day before the Summit, the Beeline team attended the Meeting of the Minds debate. This was followed by two days of networking, roundtable discussions, keynote sessions, and social events. Beeline was honoured to join clients, partners, and industry analysts at this important event.
Prior to the CWS Summit
On May 12, we had an opportunity to attend the Meeting of the Minds debate. In cooperation with Brightfield Strategies and Allegis Group Services, this thought leadership event brought procurement leaders from across Europe to join in a powerful debate on best practices and impactful MSP/VMS strategies. The moderator from Brightfield Strategies questioned MSP and VMS leaders to gain perspectives on their effectiveness and contribution to the goals of their clients. For example, one question was, “Which is more important to an organisation’s long term success – an MSP or a VMS?” This event was truly eye-opening for all procurement people that are about to enter the RFx journey!
Roundtable Sessions during the CWS Summit
Our roundtable on Tuesday, May 13, “Driving Savings in Mature Programmes,” was very insightful. What can be achieved beyond driving rates up and margins down? After the session, it became clear that two topics dominated the conversation. First, attendees want to find a solution to better manage stakeholder demand. Participants also want to implement a healthy mix of self-sourcing and using agencies for talent. These are the hot topics to look into for 2015.
The Evening Events of the CWS Summit
During the evening of May 13, Beeline colleagues and clients had a splendid networking opportunity with other procurement leaders at an informal setting over dinner at Aqua Nueva, a wonderful restaurant in the heart of London. Following dinner, we joined our partners for an exquisite private party at London’s No. 5 Cavendish Square Club & Bar. This unique event had over 200 participants, and summit peers enjoyed the music performed by three different DJs from across the globe, including 19-year-old DJ Sir Haggis from the Netherlands. As a special token of his appreciation, he produced a mix for us to relive the night.
