Beeline on Santa’s “Nice” List This December

As 2014 ends, we thought it appropriate to take a moment to reflect on the many end-of-year events that Beeline participated in this December. When looking back on the occasions that occurred in just one month, it is not hard to see what makes Beeline such a great place to work.

Beeline invited to Adecco Group’s Luncheon & Town Hall

It all started on December 3, when Beeline’s parent company, Adecco Group, hosted its Holiday Luncheon & Town Hall event at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. During the event, Adecco’s executive team identified some of 2014’s accomplishments and objectives for 2015. Adecco also used the occasion to recognize corporate colleagues by revealing the winners of their 2014 Excellence Awards. They provided a complimentary lunch and goodie bag to all attendees, and generously handed out many prizes throughout the meeting. Not to be outdone, Jacksonville Jaguars mascot Jaxson de Ville made his appearance by cascading down from the ceiling in a bungee jump fashion, full of acrobatic tricks and flips. Beeline’s own Osiris Carrasquillo was lucky enough to snag a picture with Daredevil de Ville!

Colleagues and their families attend Beeline Jaguar Event

Speaking of the Jacksonville Jaguars, President Doug Leeby decided to host a Beeline Jaguar event on December 7, which was Military Appreciation Day at the stadium. Each Jacksonville-based colleague received complimentary tickets, a parking pass, and access to a private tailgate lot. Complete with a live band and catering by Bono’s Bar-B-Q, the Beeline pre-game gathering was a great way for Beeline colleagues to meet each other’s families and enjoy each other’s company outside of the office. It was a cold and rainy day, and the Jaguars lost to the Houston Texans, but the event could not have been more warm and victorious.

Beeline sponsors children for the annual Children’s Home Society toy drive

In keeping with holiday tradition, Beeline’s own Kasey Gartner once again hosted the annual Children’s Home Society Toy Drive. For those not familiar with the Children’s Home Society, this organization aims to break the generational cycle of child abuse in families, protect children from harm, heal children who have been hurt, create strong, stable families, and help children grow up safe, healthy, and prepared for life. Starting in November, Beeline colleagues stopped by Kasey’s office to select the name of a child to sponsor. Then, colleagues (or departments) went shopping for the child/children they selected. In many cases, these gifts are the only things that the children receive on Christmas. In true Beeline fashion, Kasey’s office was overflowing with gifts and toys. This year, Beeline colleagues shopped for 35 children, who ranged from newborns to 21-year-olds in need.

Beeline colleagues encouraged to use Community In-service Day

Each year, all Adecco colleagues receive a Community In-Service Day. The executive team encourages all colleagues to volunteer in the community and serve the charity of their choice, without using a personal or sick day. At the Town Hall meeting, Adecco announced that approximately 80 percent of all colleagues used their Community In-Service Day this year, which equals thousands of hours spent serving the community. December saw a huge uptick in community service, as all colleagues must use their day by the end of the year. Many Beeline colleagues used their day to serve the Children’s Home Society further, by delivering and organizing the many donations from the toy drive. Other Community In-Service events include volunteering at Wounded Warrior Project, which is where many of Beeline’s Sales Support team spent their day this year. Senior Marketing Manager Kristine Davis volunteered at Clay County Animal Control & Care with her eight-year-old daughter, Aliyah.

Beeline End of Year Meeting and Holiday Party

December 11 was a busy day for Beeliners. Not only was it the day that the company donated all of its donations to the Children’s Home Society, but it was also Beeline’s End of Year Meeting and Holiday Party. President Doug Leeby highlighted Beeline’s major accomplishments of 2014, which included Beeline’s partnership with Pixid, the acquisition of OnForce, the new website, top performance on the company’s Great Place to Work survey, among other accolades. The meeting closed with Beeline’s annual BeAwesome Awards ceremony. These peer-nominated awards are a special way to recognize those colleagues who demonstrate excellence throughout the year. Over 20 colleagues received special recognition, including Shant Dermenjian, who won the President’s Award. This individual award is the most prestigious award offered. It recognizes one employee for demonstrating absolute brilliance in his/her contribution to Beeline. The rest of the evening consisted of the Beeline Holiday party, which was complete with dinner, a DJ, a photo booth, and let’s just say… there may be another Beeline parody video coming to a YouTube channel near you, in the very near future.

Beeline sells swag to raise money for Wolfson Children’s Hospital

Every year, Beeline’s Marketing Department orders several promotional items for the many sponsorships and events that take place throughout the year. While clearing out the Marketing Closet for next year’s items, the team decided to get into the holiday spirit. This year, the team decided to sell the leftover swag to colleagues, with the idea that all of the money collected would go to a local charity. On December 17, Beeline held a swag sale, selling t-shirts, flip-flops, and other items promotional items. By the end of the day, the team collected $510 and donated the money to the Rehabilitations Services Department at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville. Now that is what Beeline calls a stocking stuffer!

Beeline Cookie Exchange and Holiday Sweater Day

Beeline lives up to its “work hard, play hard” company culture. As President Doug Leeby stated in the End of Year Meeting, Beeline colleagues worked hard throughout 2014, which was another record year for the company. Our colleagues strive to deliver quality products, services, and white-glove service every day. As discussed, colleagues also spent many hours serving others in their community this year. On December 19, Beeliners decided that they made it onto Santa’s “nice” list this year, and decided it was time to let loose. Officially deemed Cookie Exchange Day and Ugly Holiday Sweater day, several Beeline colleagues brought in homemade cookies, exchanged cookies and recipes with others, and proudly displayed their loudest, most colorful holiday sweaters (some literally lit up!) It was a fun way to pay homage to 2014 before taking a few days off for the holidays. One question that has circulated the halls this December has been, “How are we possibly going to top this amazing year in 2015?” The answer: We are Beeline, which means we will find the way. Thank you to all of our blog readers in 2014. We will see you in 2015!
