White House Delays Employer Mandate Requirement Until 2015 (via The Washington Post)
“The Obama administration will not penalize businesses that do not provide health insurance in 2014, the Treasury Department announced Tuesday. Instead, it will delay enforcement of a major Affordable Care Act requirement that all employers with more than 50 employees provide coverage to their workers until 2015.”

Don’t Forget the Accountants! (via The Staffing Stream)
“If its workforce is a company’s heartbeat, then money (and accounting) is its lifeblood. It courses through every aspect of the company, including human resources, and is a critical component to consider when securing the success of a MSP program. By keeping the needs of your accountant in mind you can streamline the MSP process at every step including selecting the right MSP vendor, smoothly implementing the program and managing it successfully.”

Forget the Jobs Report – Focus on the Freelance Economy (via Forbes)
“Is the [BLS] report still an accurate measure of the health of the US labor market, let alone US economy? While the job report is picked over by everyone (before it is revised two months later), there is one statistic that I believe is even more indicative of the current and future job market—the state of the freelance market.”
