A Significant Achievement for Beeline

The SOC reports further position Beeline as a strong partner when it comes to its control environment, specifically surrounding financial, security, and confidentiality. “We know that providing SOC reports can deliver an additional level of assurance to our clients,” says Bob Marsh, Beeline Chief Information Officer. “Customers are very aware of data security needs and the internal controls that a service organization should have in place to protect critical information. In this age of increased security awareness, SOC examinations are a necessity,” says Marsh. Successful completion of the SOC examinations allows Beeline to provide its customers with detailed information regarding the system and controls that impact internal controls in financial reporting, and allows Beeline to ensure that policies, processes, and procedures are in place to protect customer system resources and information designated as confidential.

Background Information Regarding SOC Examinations

SOC 1 examinations establish the requirements and guidance for reporting on controls at a service organization relevant to customers’ internal control over financial reporting. The controls addressed in the examination are those that a service organization implements to prevent, or detect and correct, errors or omissions in the information it provides to users. SOC 2 reports focus on controls that do not impact the internal controls over financial reporting, but are instead relevant to the security, availability, or processing integrity of a system or the confidentiality or privacy of the information processed. SOC 3 reports are designed to meet the needs of users who want assurance on the controls at a service organization related to security, availability, or processing integrity of a system.
