Attracting and engaging underrepresented talent for the contingent workforce

Enterprises face many challenges meeting the diversity commitments expected by Fortune 500® CEOs. Beeline and Primary Talent Partners took measurable steps to establish a diversity model that could be implemented internally and replicated in clients’ contingent workforce programs.
The challenge
To meet their diversity commitments, enterprises depend on managed service providers (MSP) and vendor management system (VMS) technology providers to deliver a diverse external workforce via the organization’s contingent workforce (CW) program. Too often, these efforts lacked focus and consistency.
The solution
The leading independent VMS technology provider, Beeline, partnered with staffing and executive search firm, Primary Talent Partners, to create a unique CW diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) package focused on increasing diversity, particularly among Black STEM and professional talent. This solution is designed to attract a diverse workforce while prioritizing the development of new talent, from college entry through to post-graduation career opportunities, with initiatives such as scholarships and paid associateships.
PrimaryPathways™ provides us with a meaningful way to demonstrate and reaffirm our commitment to fostering a workplace and world that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. And it’s a great experience – not just for the students, but for us, too!
The results
In partnership with Primary Talent Partners, Beeline launched PrimaryPathways™, a comprehensive program focused on engaging Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Through co-branded scholarships and associateships, the program provides HBCU students with professional work experience and post-graduate career opportunities at Beeline and beyond.
