The challenge
This US-based automotive leader manufactures personal and commercial vehicles of all types for markets around the globe.
In addition to more than 165,000 employees worldwide, the company depends on an external workforce for highly specialized skills, including various IT disciplines and other professional competencies. The company was an early adopter of technology for managing contingent labor but soon found that its vendor management system (VMS) provider lacked the flexibility to support the many different markets and departments served by its contingent labor program.
In addition, the VMS solution was not user-friendly, which compromised end-user buy-in and encouraged rogue spend. The VMS also had limited reporting capabilities, which made it difficult for the company to make informed staffing decisions.
More than 4,000 contingent workers, including both IT and non-IT specialists, are successfully managed through the Beeline Enterprise.
The solution
Beeline worked closely with the client to deploy Beeline Enterprise, a VMS that is user-friendly, highly configurable, and provides the robust reporting necessary to enhance the company’s contingent workforce and empower managers to engage highly skilled contingent talent.
Beeline also created a customized checklist process that allowed the client’s hiring managers to screen incoming candidates and streamline the interview process.
