The challenge
A US-based global telecommunications and entertainment conglomerate, the client provides broadcasting, cable television, and consumer and business Internet services, including IP telecommunication services. They support US residential and commercial customers in 40 states and in the District of Columbia. The client’s portfolio also includes an international media company that produces film and television content, a major film studio, and theme parks and resorts worldwide.
As the company’s businesses have grown, both organically and by acquisition, the client recognized they lacked visibility into processes for sourcing and managing their expanding external workforce. Their manual processes based on spreadsheets, email, and web-based collaboration programs didn’t provide the consistency, timeliness, and reportability required to support their rapid pace of operations and provided little insight for executive decision-making.
Their capability to manage contingent staffing activities was rudimentary and inadequate, and they had little control or standardized management of statement of work (SOW)-based contracts. To remedy this situation, they turned to Beeline.

The solution
Beeline implemented its full-featured Beeline Enterprise VMS. simultaneously activating both contingent staffing and services procurement functionality. The initial implementation represented almost $300 million in contingent labor spend alone. Since then, the overall spend under management has grown to more than $1.2 billion annually.
The results

The client and its suppliers can now easily obtain accurate data and revision history for all staffing contracts, significantly improved reportability, consolidated billing, and improved time-to-fill for both contingent staffing and contract-based positions.
