A clear vision of a streamlined contingent workforce process across multiple countries, coupled with next- level vendor management system (VMS) technology, and perfectly tailored contingent workforce management, represents a story of success. This achievement is shared by all three partners: NXP, Beeline, and Hays Talent Solutions (HTS).

The challenge

NXP Semiconductor focuses on high-performance mixed-signal products, providing smart solutions – not just products – to enhance the capabilities of people, organizations, and the world at large. Counting approximately 29,000 employees in over 30 countries worldwide. NXP is led by dedication, passion, and strong partnerships.

NXP’s aim was to optimize and standardize the procurement of contingent workers, achieve transparency, and ensure a high level of process compliance.

The solution

NXP strives to improve its products and processes – including contingent workforce processes – to confirm that they adhere to the highest possible standards. Its clear vision of a seamless contingent workforce process and the constant drive for optimization acted as a starting point and catalyst for this success story.

As a first step, NXP decided to implement HTS as a Managed Service Provider (MSP) to manage all Staff Augmentation candidates in the Netherlands in 2010. Starting with a single-country MSP, NXP expanded the program to a multi-country MSP shortly after, adding Germany, Austria, Belgium, and the United Kingdom into the scope.

The results

The alignment with HTS and Beeline helped NXP maximize efficiency and achieve compliance and full visibility of all contingent workforce assignments. The automated and digitized management of external workers via Beeline Enterprise provides a data basis, which is managed, analyzed, and evaluated by the HTS MSP team to support strategic decisions and workforce planning for NXP. The HTS MSP team guarantees efficiency for all stakeholders by actively managing the workforce-and compliance-related processes, while NXP employees focus on their core responsibilities.

Thanks to Beeline and Hays Talent Solutions, NXP benefits from a fully automated, consolidated, and compliant process for six countries. This arrangement also generates significant cost savings due to the established competitive market setup for suppliers.
