The challenge
This client is a financial service holding company specializing in credit cards, auto loans, banking, and savings products. They have acquired several large companies during their 30 years in business and have complex regulatory and security requirements. They needed a technology solution that could provide a full governance model and extensive system integration with their critical business systems.
They have a large number of infrequent users who needed greater ease-of-first-use and standardization throughout the organization, as well as competitive bidding of project-based service contracts to take advantage of cost savings opportunities.
The client was looking for a provider who prioritized innovation, who welcomed client involvement in the technology roadmap, and who could help them scale their contingent workforce program.
Beeline elevates the client’s contingent labor management program and provides comprehensive Contingent Staffing and Services Procurement functionality, with best-in-class user experience.
The solution
Supported by their Managed Service Provider (MSP), the client thoroughly evaluated the workforce technology marketplace, issued an RFP, and selected Beeline.
Beeline’s solution, implemented in early 2017, elevates the client’s contingent labor management program and provides comprehensive Contingent Staffing and Services Procurement functionality, with best-in-class user experience. This functionality was deployed in US and expanded into Canada that same year. The client currently runs $900 million in contingent labor spend through Beeline, with further growth anticipated.
Beeline’s service model, with tandem operational and strategic account management, accompanied by ongoing access to innovation from Beeline’s product management and integration teams, instilled confidence that as the client’s needs evolved, Beeline would be the steadfast, comprehensive partner they were seeking.
Beeline Resource Tracking went live in 2021, serving as a single repository for tracking all extended workforce resources, regardless of resource type, location, or hours worked. This client is using the functionality to seamlessly transition from unmanaged tracking to managed sourcing, as they determine the correct categories of spend and compliance needs for each resource.
The result
Beeline’s solution is integrated with the client’s Workday, Coupa, and SSO systems. It ensures compliance with internal and external policies and regulations as well as comprehensive reporting and access to all contractor data. The intuitive user experience has driven program adoption and onboarding improvements have upgraded many backend processes.
Beeline enables centralized sourcing and management of the global non-employee workforce, captures contingent spend enterprise-wide, reduces costs with competitive bidding, allows for tiering of suppliers based on performance, and facilitates standardized rate cards.
Because strategic partnerships are important for many global organizations, Beeline offers a license-fee basis and introduced a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program for this customer. The objective of an SRM program is to develop two-way, mutually beneficial relationships with strategic supply partners to deliver greater levels of innovation and competitive advantage than could be achieved by operating independently or through a traditional, transactional approach.
The SRM program establishes a foundation for enhancing the business relationship by strengthening strategic business alignment and providing resources to implement key initiatives.
